The Why


After we workout getting the right amount of protein is really important for the following: toning your body, alleviate muscle soreness (DOMS) and improving body fat loss..

Now you can get all the protein you need normally from the meals that we have advised but having a protein shake is a great way of getting all the protein

you need when you're rushed for time at breakfast or want a healthy in

between meal snack when combined with a low sugar smoothie of fibrous

fruit..

When Should I Have it?




Morning workout


If you're doing early session then this is a no brainer. It really quick to make

and i would add a serving to a breakfast smoothie. Make sure you have it as

soon as you can and have it once or twice a week and especially on leg days,


Evening Workouts


On evening sessions i would opt for this once or twice a week instead of your meal to help your body repair and really aid that body fat loss…


but you must mix it with a low GI smoothie to ramp up nutrients or have it

with some fibrous fruit such as an apple or a pear.

As above have it as soon as the workouts done and especially after a leg day.


Morning & Evening Workouts


if you've done the double then I would definitely have this for breakfast and then have your normal main meal. Your body will really love you for it. .​

Only have this on workout days and not all the time… Although-the brand which i want you to start using is packed full of protein and antioxidants it doesn't have all the bodies requirement and should not be replacing allyour meals.. if you have any concern then consult your doctor

When you start drinking your protein shakes you might get some uneducated

comment linking protein shakes & bodybuilding…

So you've got all the facts and to enlighten the would be negative influencers

here goes

● You can’t turn into the female equivalent of Arnold Swarchenegger just

because you're having a protein shake…. You would have to start having a

myriad of supplement including testosterone and workout for long periods in a particular way 6 days if you wanted the shape of the body above.

● Protein is just the meat or the pulses/beans you have with you meal.. but

delivered in a different albeit faster way when in a shake…

● Finally you can say ” stop being negative because all you're doing is making yourself look stupid, why not try being supportive ”

How much protein do I need per serving ?

The majority of protein will have a serving suggestion on the package but this

is very general and if you have to much your body won’t absorb it so you end up wasting money.

So to avoid this there a simple formula to work this out.

The amount of protein an adult needs per day is 0.8g per kg of weight

so let say I’m 15 stone that 95.3 kg

that workout to 76.24g of protein per day

divide that by 4 meals you would require just of a 19g serving

so in a 1 kg tub you’ll get 50 serving

if you have the 2 serving per week that over 6 month worth..

with this in mind i would opt of the 250g pouches

Remember to adjust the serving amount periodically as you sculpt your body although muscle weighs heavier than fat your weight will change and you will need less and less each month..

So which protein should I buy?

It may seem expensive but remember you should get quite a lot of serving

but shop around as you’ll find that the prices massively difference a quick
